Summary: this is a very early Lile toothpick with a 12" script signed blade, large brass hilt, elephant ivory handle, and contoured brass butt cap. Overall length is a hair over 16-1/2" -- the knife is unused with original edges. Condition is excellent -- a few spots and handling marks on the blade, and a couple of decent sized cracks in the ivory. (not a surprise considering the age and material) The blade is a bit "brighter" than normal -- original finish, that's just the way Jimmy finished knives early on in his career. Suffice to say, these old ones have a boatload of personality.

The tag affixed to the handle is in Marilyn's writing and states, "designed and made by J. Lile -- 1970". There is no sheath.
