This knife has a 9" bead blasted blade with polished edges and 14 sawteeth -- 5 rake and 9 split. Stamped "0000 FARID" on one side -- "PROTOTYPE" on reverse. The guard has screwdriver tips (flathead and phillips) and has two holes drilled for lanyard attachment. The hollow 4-3/4" handle (measured back of hilt to end of butt cap) is wrapped in green cord -- perfect place to store survival necessities or the included gents folder. Hi tech / modern compass embedded in the knurled butt cap -- works perfectly. Overall length of the knife is a hair under 14". The knife has never been used and has the original edges -- near mint / original condition with one small ding in the bead blasted finish on the back side.
Noteworthy features: the shortened upper screwdriver guard, polished guard edges, and the half-sized sawtooth 6th up from the tip.
The heavy duty brown leather sheath with stone pouch and hone is stamped "FARID PROTOTYPE" on the back. The sheath is original to the knife -- a few light scuffs on both sides and at the throat from knife fitting / storage -- no big deal.
12 photos for review -- as shown, a new green canvas carry case is included for storage / transport. Note that the last two photos show the mint condition gents folder -- it has it's own carry case and most certainly has NOT been stored in the handle.
This is a fantastic opportunity to get one of Farid's protos -- only a few of these rare survival knives were made and they're impossible to find for sale. One just sold for $2,250 last week -- this is the last I have for sale. Certificate of Authenticity included -- thanks and good luck.
