Remington RH28 & Ed Bohlin Sheath
4-1/2" Blade / Black Bakelite Handle
Custom / Rare Riveted Bohlin Sheath
New Black Canvas Carry Case
*SOLD*

Summary: I bought this a long time ago, the sheaths by the legendary Edward Bohlin are rare as hens teeth. Not sure if he patented the swivel style keeper strap; if not, he most certainly should have.

The knife itself is pretty damned nice as compared to many other WW2 Remington RH28's I've looked at -- head and shoulders better than most. Lightly used but full blade with correct markings, see close up photos. The black handle is in extremely nice shape -- stamped "Remington UMC" on both sides.

The sheath is a horse of a different color, this is only the 2nd Bohlin-made sheath I've seen since I got in the business. (the other was paired with an old Randall) Sheath is tight all the way around -- a bit of fraying on the end of the snap over keeper, nothing unbearable. Knife / sheath fit is decent -- small gap at the throat when the keeper is snapped but not a huge deal.

13 photos for review -- as shown, a new carry case has been provided. Research indicates these RH28's date back to WW2 or earlier, the original sheath probably lost or worn out and the Bohlin made as a replacement. Regardless, this is a rare old combination with loads of personality. Thanks and good luck.
