Summary: this is a very nice looking, late 1990's Randall #22 "Outdoorsman" and Johnson smoothback sheath. My crappy photos don't do this knife any justice -- the blade finish is fabulous -- the knife in overall excellent+++ or better condition with just a few light handling marks on the nickel hilt and duralumin butt cap. The knife has not been resharpened -- it's extremely nice.
The knife is paired to it's original Johnson smoothback sheath which accurately dates production of the knife / sheath to the very late 90's. The sheath is correctly stamped 22 beneath the RMK trademark on the back belt loop -- there's an unused plain salmon stone in the front pouch. The condition of the sheath is excellent+++ -- you'll find a few light rubs / scuffs on both sides (all minor), and a scuff at the throat from past knife storage.
Bonus: black & maroon 550 paracord survival bracelet. Made in the USA, easy to use / wear / carry, and unraveled gives you just about 14 feet of lifesaving cord that will look great wrapped around your wrist until you need it.
10 photos for review -- as shown, a new black suede carry case is included. This knife has a thinly beveled blade perfect for the outdoorsman -- in my opinion, it's one of the most under-rated and overlooked models in the Randall line-up. This is a great price on a 20+ year old #22 and JSB sheath in this condition -- a beauty to carry on your hip or tuck away in your knife collection. Thanks and good luck.
