Description

Summary: I had one of those “what the heck??” moments when I saw this little serial #1 cleaver but then immediately thought of about five different things I could use it for. (six if you count lopping off my cats tail) Anyway, I’ve seen a handful of Jim Behring cleavers over the years, nothing this small. I guess that’s why Jim numbered it as his first... makes sense now! It’s way cool, way functional... and way easy to carry.

The blade is right at 3” front to guard, overall length is 7-3/4”. Great fossil tip color, numbered and engraved signature by the maker back side blade. (see photo 4) I noticed a couple of micro small handling marks if viewed closely in direct light, still easily near mint condition.

They made the custom sheath right there at the shop and fronted it Elephant hide. The cleaver / sheath fit is perfect and the sheath is in mint condition.

6 photos for review – as shown, a new black canvas carry case and J. Behring Handmade sticker both included. This is a really neat, custom piece.. first of it’s kind made by Jim as evidenced by the serial number. As an investment for your collection... you can’t lose. If you’re buying it to use... you can’t lose. Get the picture? You can’t lose!! Thanks and good luck.
